Armor Vision
Our vision is for the world to experience freedom from mental health challenges through the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Armor Mission
The mission of Armor is to create a space for people to be vulnerable in their struggle with mental health.
Current State
The current mental state of our world is an escalating issue. The effects of isolation from the pandemic, mass use of social media, workplace demands and the increasing global conflicts in places like Ukraine, Israel and Gaza have shown their results.
Here are few statistics to reflect where we stand today (2024 - 2025):
-
More than 1 billion people are living with mental health disorders.
-
Suicide claims an estimated 740,000 lives each year (IHME, 2025) and is a leading cause of death among young people across all countries and socioeconomic contexts.
-
Depression and anxiety alone cost the global economy an estimated $1 trillion each year.
-
Median government spending on mental health remains at 2% of total health budgets. It was the same in 2017.
-
High-income countries spend up to $65 per person on mental health while low-income countries spend as little as $0.04.
-
The global median number of mental health workers stands at 13 per 100,000 people with extreme shortages in low- and middle-income countries.
-
Fewer than 10% of countries have fully transitioned to community-based care models and are still relying on inpatient psychiatric care which is costly and lengthy.
-
Over 80% (+41% from 2020) of countries now offer mental health and psychosocial support as part of emergency responses. This is a rapidly growing development.
The global opinions of a successful solution are disjointed. The answers vary from additional therapy to exotic chemical treatments that are costly, risky and unproven. What we need is an answer.
Our answer is Jesus Christ. We believe that through the gospel of Jesus Christ, we can provide the world with an answer to its increasing issue of a reprobate mind. Through our efforts to spread His fame, we will see the global mental health crisis take a turn towards recovering the mind and restoring faith in a God who made it.
